Yesterday we reported about fires in Norway that are ravaging forests in the northern part of Norway. Unfortunately, the situation is not good. There was a threat of seizure of houses. The inhabitants were evacuated - the fire reached 6 places. At the moment, about 220 people have had to leave their homes.
Forest fires in Norway - a critical situation near Sokndal
The fire has already spread to a very large area near Sokndal. Firefighters fought the merciless element all night long. Water was poured down using a special fleet of helicopters. Soldiers were also called to action territorial defense. The night was very difficult - fighting with the fire continues. When the fire can be extinguished in one place fire, soon appears in the second one.
Forest fires - where else did they occur?
Problem Unfortunately, forest fires do not only affect Norway. The fire also spread to Sweden. The worst situation is taking place in Gnosjö district. There, several hundred firefighters are fighting the flames. Forest fires have already occurred in Germany this year, Great Britain and in Poland. This is very disturbing news considering the fact that April it's quite early for such events.
