Norwegians start hiring workers to perform seasonal work. When looking through offers available on the Internet, it is impossible to resist the impression that people are needed mainly to perform simple tasks. Where to look for a job? How choose the best one offer? You will find out in the article below.

"After acquaintance"

The most attractive one job offer will find if you already have someone in Norway. It could be family, a friend or just a good acquaintance. But remember that it should be a person trustworthy, which will help you with everything at the beginning. Wages in Norway are high, as are the costs of living. It may turn out that you will not be able to afford to rent a room in first month stay. Therefore, it is worth asking someone you know to stay with them during this time - until you get your first salary and can rent some accommodation.

The mentality of the Norwegians is a separate issue. They are more likely to hire someone based on the recommendation of someone they trust. Seasonal work requires punctuality and reliability, which is why the best offers are available only after acquaintance. Before A Norwegian will post a job advertisement on the Internet, he asks first among his friends. This is not a rule, however - it is worth taking advantage of this feature of the Norwegian nation and the fact that one of your loved ones is already in the Land of Fjords.

Job to be found on the Internet

If you don't have anyone close to you, it's worth using trusted search engines. However, you need to be very careful not to find a dishonest employer. Good practice includes, for example, asking for the full name of the company. This will allow us to look for opinions about it, or even use one of the groups on Facebook to ask the community there about a specific company. Thanks to this, there is a chance to avoid a fraudster or a person who will act unfairly towards the employee.

. What industries?

Analyzing job offers available on the Internet, it should be concluded that Norwegians need seasonal workers in the following industries:

  • gardening,
  • fruit crops,
  • construction,
  • gastronomy (kitchen aid),
  • restorers,
  • waste recycling,
  • hospitality (maids),
  • fishing.

Given the seasonality factor, these industries should not be surprising. These are the areas of the economy that thrive in summer, which is conditioned, inter alia, by weather conditions. Agriculture and construction do not thrive in winter because the weather simply does not allow it.
