Christmas is getting closer. Christmas music is an inseparable element of the annually celebrated Christmas Eve in the circle of the closest family. The atmosphere of general friendliness and rapprochementiła Patrycjusz Nyga to record Polish Christmas carols in Norway. The album with 11 songs was released in 2016 and perfectly captures the spirit of the upcoming holidays.

Patrycjusz Nyga and his wife have been living in Ålesund for 7 years. Over the fjords, it does exactly the same as it does he did in Poland. Namely, he is a music teacher at the Montessoriskule, thus combining his own two greatest passions - music and teaching. In addition to working at school, he also runs a company Music Garden with a very wide profile of activity - from education to the provision of music services.

He is also active in the Polish-Norwegian Association. A few years ago, he thought that to make an album with Polish Christmas carols. Its main idea was Polish-Norwegian integration. The artists involved in the creation of the album, moreover, expressed it during the course concerts promotingedition.

11 Christmas carols

For this reason, it was decided to record 11 Christmas carols in two language versions. Some were sung in Polishand some  in Norwegian. The album was recorded in 2016 in the recording studio "Horn" in Piła. The president of this city took over edition with its honorary patronage.

Share a tradition

As he claims himself Patrician Nyga in conversation with Radio Wataha, he and the people involved in the creation of the album had the goal from the very beginning to share it with Norwegians Polish Christmas traditions. "Music is such a universal language, beyond all divisions" - claims Patrycjusz - "Carols have become an ideal opportunity to integrate distant and at the same time so close cultures. Music is an excellent tool because it has a much better effect than words, ”she adds.

Lots of singers

It should be mentioned that Patrician Nyga he is not the only one involved in making the recordings. The vocals were also given by: Wiktoria Baziuk, Agnieszka Kopacz, Aleksandra Kopacz. Promotion of the album took place mainly during other concerts that were organized both in Poland and Norway. During them the music was interspersed with wordsin which issues related to various Christmas traditions.
