Norwegian road statistics

The beginning of the year is always a time to sum up the previous year. Statistics include many important and less important things. Today we will present statistics Norwegian roads roads from 2018. Last year, 108 people died in Norway, which is two more people compared to 2017. More men than women still die on the roads. Of the given number of 108 people, 83 are men, which is 77%. According to the data, men aged 45-64 were most likely to die in road traffic.

Men as a large risk group

If we were to take a closer look at the last month of 2018 and compare it with the previous one, then in December 2018 6 people died on Norwegian roads, and a year ago 13 people from Trygg Trafikk, Jan Johansen, wants to draw attention to the overwhelming number of men who are killed in accidents . In addition, young drivers are also a very large group that creates a great risk in road traffic. Johansen informs that for years they have been analyzing many road situations in which young and experienced drivers take part. It turns out that experienced drivers very often cause accidents more often than young drivers. This is because you are overconfident in your own abilities.

Greater car safety

It goes without saying that from year to year there are more and more cars on the market that are equipped with many functions that are designed to provide the driver and his passengers with the highest quality safety. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency brake, sensors that measure the distance to objects in front of and around the vehicle and many other things that prevent even the smallest accidents every day.

Let's drive more carefully!

The beginning of the year is far too early to analyze the cause of every accident that happened in 2018. The goal of 2019 is to reduce the number of accidents. However, it should be remembered that in order to improve road statistics, each of us should start with ourselves. Follow the rules and always get to your destination.
