The weather forecast for the weekend by experts may surprise us all, because heat records will probably break. Unfortunately, there is also the danger of floods, avalanches and landslides.

Heat records will break?

Meteorologists announce to the residents of Nordland and Troms that the upcoming weekend will be very warm, but also wet. Northern Norway could see record-breaking weather this weekend with high temperatures expected. The last heat record in Troms in February was set in 1935 and amounted to 8,2 degrees C. The Meteorological Institute writes on Twitter that the upcoming temperature will probably break records 84 years ago. In Finnmarksvidda, temperatures are expected to rise by almost 30 degrees from Friday to Saturday morning.

Growing Danger

Experts also warn in their forecasts of the growing danger of avalanches and landslides. Growing wind, temperature and heavy rainfall increase the risk of landslides in the south. High Hazard notices have been posted in Nordland, Troms and West Finnmark, expected to go into effect Friday.

Heavy rainfall

Due to the large amount of rain forecasted to occur in Nordland and Troms from Friday morning, a yellow flood alert has been sent out. The yellow alert level is the lowest in the alarm bag. Initially, according to information from meteorologists, it will start to snow, which will quickly turn into rainfall. A positive temperature will cause the snow to melt, thereby increasing the water flow. Experts ask you to be extremely careful, tidy up the property and stay clear of rivers and streams.

What's the weather like for the weekend? Will there be a record of freezing temperatures in Troms after 84 years? Meteorologists warn of possible floods, avalanches and landslides. You can read more in the article above!
