The first steps in the country of fjords
Certainly some of you have been in Norway for a long time. Certainly some of you have been in Norway for a very short time. As for me, I will be celebrating my first anniversary in September. Year. 12 months. Time flies fast. Regardless of how old you can be proud of, you must have had good and harder moments.
Traveling for work or ..?
We left Poland for various reasons. Me, driving for love, because my girlfriend was the first to find a job. I was counting on you that it wouldn't be easy. That as a woman I wouldn't get a job even with pretty eyes. Unfortunately, the truth turned out to be brutal. Despite my education, quite directional, as it seemed to me, looking for a new job was not going smoothly.
But until the beginning.
Work. Is. For K., but that's also good. Apartment? Uuu ... The contact with the rental prices of just about anything made us dizzy. However, somehow, I found an affordable price, good conditions and close proximity to a larger city. Well, the bus stop is almost at the door. And these views .. The sea .. Something beautiful .. The thought of having tea in the garden made me forget for a while. We called the owner. Mr. Jacek turned out to be a very nice man, offering advice and help. Thanks to his kindness, the apartment was waiting for us. Until recently, our home was Lublin, where I come from. On the way to Norway, we drove to Słupsk, where K. I love water, and every stop connected with seaside towns is honey to my heart. We spent a wonderful time there.
Ferry. It's something that makes you smile when you remember it. We did not have a cabin, because I decided that such an additional expense at the beginning of our journey is not necessary. Am I wrong? Let's just say I wasn't quite right. Of course there was no drama, sleeping on two chairs is also an adventure. If you are just going to the ferry, remember to take a blanket and a pillow from the car. And in the first place, do not visit the ship, but run to a restaurant where you cannot sleep, but ... Necessity is the mother of invention. And don't be surprised by the sleeping bags, the restaurant is almost a dining room, and in many houses there are only two steps from the dining room to the bedroom :).
Later the road through Sweden and finally the long-awaited Norway.
Is he our asylum?
After less than a year full of joys and sorrows, I can tell you that it is. We both feel good, calm and stable here. We came in a car full of food for the first months. The chemicals we have so far.
Getting started is never easy. We came here to have a better life, our own house and maybe a bigger wedding .. Or maybe not that big, just any. Day after day, we fight the longing for Families, misunderstanding the language, feelings or culture of different nations. But we don't give up. We believe that success awaits at the end of the road and our dedication. It is important that we are together. And if you feel alone, positive things await you as well. You just have to want to get to them. And you will definitely succeed!
