The Working Environment Act does not contain provisions that would give the right to time off, paid or unpaid, to visits to a doctor, physiotherapist, etc. If you are to make such visits during working hours, you must obtain time off work in another way, e.g. vacation. It is true that the Environmental Act work includes some provisions in Chapter 12 which apply in specific cases. Pursuant to § 12-9 section 1, an employee caring for a child is entitled to leave if the child must be cared for during medical examinations or other check-ups due to illness.
