Automated case processing can, inter alia, contribute to the efficient and safe handling of cases and to increased equal treatment.

The act entered into force on December 4, 2020.

- We have seen that this access has improved the processing of cases, especially when the number of cases was as high as it is today. It is important to have quick and good processing of cases that cares about user privacy. This is absolutely essential in modern welfare administration and it is good that we have now introduced new regulations, says Minister for Labor and Social Affairs Henrik Asheim.

Norway-NAV on year-end unemployment.

– After an increase in November, the number of job seekers has slowly started to decline again in the last two weeks. In December There were approximately 1300 fewer job seekers. We see that the infection control measures that were introduced at national and local levels in early November have had much less impact on the labor market than the measures that were introduced during the first wave of infections, says Director of Labor and Social Welfare Hans Christian Holte.

Completely unemployed, partially unemployed and job seekers

According to preliminary data, 108 people are registered as completely unemployed in NAV. This is 300% of the workforce. Gross unemployment, which is the sum of the total number of unemployed and jobseekers by measure, amounts to 3,8 people, or 123% of the workforce.

In addition, 71 people are registered as partially unemployed. Thus, a total of 500 people are registered as jobseekers with NAV, which represents 195% of the workforce.
