Officially, Covid passports are valid throughout the EU from July 1. However, Poland decided to speed up the entire process. Starting today, every person who has received two doses of the vaccine can download an electronic passport confirming vaccination MObywatel application. The app can be downloaded traditionally from the App Store and Google Play. Each online document will have a photo of the owner. This is intended to speed up all formalities - especially during airport or border control. What more do we know about the passport?

From now on, Poles do not have to worry if they do not have a paper version of their Covid passport with them. It can be downloaded from the special MObywatel application.
"Importantly, the Polish version of the EU COVID Certificate (UCC) - the so-called covid passport - has a photo of the bearer, taken from the register of identity cards. This will significantly simplify and speed up the verification of a person vaccinated, e.g. at the border. So far, only the national certificate was available in the application. UCC was not supposed to reach mObywatel on June 25. However, the government decided to make it available as soon as possible - we hear from the employees of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. In what situations will a covid passport be required?
The passport will be of practical use primarily when moving between countries. A special QR code included in the application provides a full range of data on the traveler 'vaccination' status. For border guards, this document informs that a specific citizen does not pose an epidemiological threat and can safely cross the border. At the same time ... it is worth emphasizing that people with a passport (whether on paper or online) do not have to undergo quarantine - they are released from the machine.
