You can laugh that in Norway, sausages are the national dish. Because they are served at birthdays, for dinner or even on May 17, i.e. during the celebration of Independence Day. When autumn comes, many Norwegian families prepare vegetable soup with the steamer. It is a delicious, warming soup. For its preparation, we will use good, fresh autumn vegetables and a thick sausage. The soup can be served with freshly baked buns.
Serving for 4 people:
- 4 carrots
- XNUMX/XNUMX swedes
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 parsley root
- ½ time
- XNUMX/XNUMX of cabbage
- 2 liters of meat or vegetable broth
- 2 pieces of thick meat sausages
- salt or vegeta
- black pepper
- 3-4 bay leaves
- a few pieces of allspice
Wash and peel all vegetables. Then cut the potatoes into equal pieces. On the other hand, grate carrots, parsley and swede on a coarse grater. Chop the cabbage and slice the leek.
Put all the vegetables in the pot and add the stock so that it covers the vegetables. Also add bay leaves and allspice.
Bring to a boil and stew until all vegetables are tender, approximately 45 minutes.
Cut the sausage into pieces and add to the soup at the end of cooking. Season with salt or veggie and pepper.
