Oslo's policy on reducing CO gases has been tightened this fall. City Councilor Sirin Stav (MDG) now announces a sharp increase in tolls.

Oslo was already in a bad position to meet its climate goals. After several defeats this fall, which overlooked many important tools to achieve goals, Oslo City Councilor Sirin Hellvin Stav (MDG) believes that the municipality must take decisive action.

– We need to raise it significantly Tolls. Without this, it will not be possible to achieve climate goals, says Stav w conversation z Aftenposten.

The EU's refusal to support CO₂ capture in Klemetsrud, which according to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration will be illegal to ban gasoline and diesel cars in parts of the city center, and that the government has failed to provide Router with additional money from the state budget. This is bad news for Oslo.

Stav says he wants toll increases to be an important issue in the Oslo 3 package negotiations.

"It's just too cheap now," says Stav, who emphasizes that the increase is in line with the city council's policy.

Oslo changed toll rates in 2019. Now is the time for further increases.
