Union of Poles in Fredrikstad via the information portal Wataha.no is pleased to invite you to a cultural event commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II. This event is the monodrama "I am reporting to you, Polish - Captain Pilecki" performed by actor Przemysław Tejkowski.
"I am reporting to you, Polish - Captain Pilecki"
This monodrama is a scenic documentation of Witold Pilecki's life and activity, from his voluntary capture in Warsaw, his activity in Auschwitz, to his death in 1948. The script was based on the captain's diaries, his letters and reports from interrogations before a communist court.
A catching story about an extraordinary man
"I am reporting to you, Polish - Captain Pilecki", is not only a documentary story, it is also a story about an extraordinary man by the throat. Przemysław Tejkowski created a character on stage who faces questions about evil in history and evil in man, who explores pain, despair and humiliation to the bottom.
We cordially invite you to this extraordinary meeting with art and an extraordinary hero.
"I tried to live in such a way that, at the hour of my death, I could rather rejoice than fear" - Witold Pilecki
