According to new data from the Board of Education, over 9 out of 10 parents are satisfied with the nursery's offer. After the decline in the number of pre-school children over the past five years, there will be slightly more pre-school children in 2022. The trend of larger and smaller kindergartens continues and almost all kindergartens meet the staffing standard.

Udir publishes an annual analysis of the Nursery Parent Survey. In the survey, parents and guardians can express their opinion on the kindergarten's offer, children's well-being and cooperation between home and kindergarten. At the same time, "Facts about kindergartens 2022" is published. This is a compilation of the key figures, annual report information and profit and loss account that preschools provide to Udir on an annual basis.

93% of children are satisfied with the offer of the kindergarten. parents

Parents are largely satisfied with the nursery's offer. 60,6 percent are very satisfied, and 32,4 percent rather satisfied with the offer. Only 1,9 percent. of parents are rather or very dissatisfied with the functioning of the kindergarten. Parents' satisfaction with the offer of kindergartens has been stable for eight years of the study, also during the coronavirus pandemic.

97 percent are satisfied with the child's safety and well-being

Parents are particularly pleased with the child's well-being and safety. Almost 97 percent of parents say that their children are developing well and trust the kindergarten staff. 94,6 percent believes that the staff is dedicated to the child and takes his needs into account. This is at the 2021 level.

The Scandinavian study shows that Norwegian parents of kindergartens are generally more satisfied with the offer of kindergartens than in other Nordic countries. The study shows that Norwegian parents perform best in terms of both parental satisfaction and well-being in the nursery (EPSI 2022 assessment).
