An interim settlement is expected to be reached this year, which will deal with finances, with the parties negotiating only on wage adjustments.

– It is crucial for the state that the parties to the wage settlement stick to the front-line professional model. Contributes to the security of public and private places work and competitiveness of Norway, says Municipal and District Minister Sigbjørn Gjelsvik.

“At the same time, we want a wage increase that will contribute to equalization, and companies in the state will be able to effectively recruit, develop and retain employees,” says Gjelsvik.

The state's human resources director, Gisle Norheim, negotiates on behalf of the state. He also met today with representatives of the main associations Akademikerne, LO Stat, Unio and YS Stat.
