Stavanger City Council has decided that the free public transport program in the Nore-Jæren zone will end on New Year's Day. This means that some types of season tickets will disappear:

  • Friday, December 1, 2023 is the last day you can collect a 30-day ticket, including a youth ticket.
  • December 24, 2023 is the last day you can collect your 7-day ticket.
  • Single and 31-hour tickets can be purchased until December 24 this year inclusive.

Individuals download tickets to their mobile phone in the following way:

  1. If you haven't done so yet, sign up for  kommunens kollektivregister. You log in using MinID/Bank ID. You only do this once. You can also register family members and, for example, a not-so-digital neighbor. Then they don't have to log in themselves.
  2. After registering, you can order free tickets on the website minside.stavanger.kommune.no/reisebillett . You log in using your mobile phone number.
  3. Select the type of ticket you need from those available.
  4. You will then receive an SMS with a link. Press the link and the ticket will open in the app Columbus Billett .
  5. In the Billett app, you must choose whether the ticket should be activated immediately or later. You can choose your start time up to 7 days in advance.

Reimbursement of speedboat tickets

If you are traveling by speedboat to, from and between the Ryfylke Islands in the Stavanger Municipality, you will still need to purchase tickets for technical reasons, but you will receive a refund for trips made up to and including December 31.

You will be reimbursed for your personal journey tickets and HjemJobbHjem express boat tickets. The program does not apply to vehicles and goods.

Until the program ends in the New Year, this applies to ticket refunds:

  • Regular 30-day and Hjemjobbhjem tickets purchased after December 1 are non-refundable.
  • Single tickets purchased after December 31 are also non-refundable.

Note: The deadline to submit the reimbursement form is January 7, 2024.
