The first podcast of the Norwegian government with a proposal to the Storting
The podcast "Forsvarsløftet - for the security of Norway" is a reading of the government's proposals, a long-term plan for the Armed Forces for the next 12 years. The plan assumes spending a total of NOK 1624 billion on Norway's defense. This means an increase of PLN 600 billion and a historic boost for the Armed Forces.
The podcast also became available at the same time as the proposal was made public on Friday, April 5. The podcast has been downloaded approximately 3000 times. More than four times as many people also purchased the printed version.
– I hope that the podcast will help reach a wider audience and increase engagement in… Armed Forces. It is more important than ever that people understand why and how we are strengthening Norway's defense. We are currently investing heavily in our common security, says Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.
The inauguration is read by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram, Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum and other government ministers read other parts of the document.
