Polish volleyball players celebrate another triumph during this year's World Cup. In the last match they defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 without any problems (25:14, 25:12, 25:15). They also broke the record for the number of points lost. The training team of Poles surprised the fans with a starting seven - as many as four players from the main team started the match on the bench.

Castles in the starting line-up

The match with Kuba was won, but with a slight breathlessness in one set. The coach of Vital Heynen has decided that four players from the main team will start on the bench in the game against Puerto Rico. He only left Michał Kubiak, Jakub Kochanowski and Paweł Zatorski in the starting seven.

A fierce start to the duel

Puerto Ricans started the game with enthusiasm. In one of the first actions, they even arrested Michał Kubiak, but the Poles quickly improved. Damian Shulz used the block and scored 4: 2 for our national team. A moment later they gained four “eyes” ahead and, right after the first technical break, they were leading 10: 6.

Our players did not lack concentration, which was greatly influenced by Vital Heynen. Polish volleyball players caught the wind in their sails at 16: 8. A moment later it was 18: 9 and since then the real execution of the Central American team began. The first set ended at 25:14.

The second set with enthusiasm

The Poles started their second set spontaneously. The Puerto Ricans, however, did not remain indebted and despite the advantage of our representation, both teams scored evenly. Everything changed at 8: 6. Since then, Polish volleyball players have played flawlessly and the set ended with their victory 25:12.

There was no loosening in the third set

The Poles did not make a mistake from the meeting with Kuba, when, after winning two sets, they caught "out of breath" in the third, which they lost. The Poles were fully concentrated and systematically increased their advantage from the very beginning. At the score of 9: 5, Bieniek harassed Puerto Ricans with plays. They strived for victory, increasing their score on points - first at 12: 6, then 16: 7. The third set ended with the victory of our team by 25:15.
