Trondheim was one of the three cities that competed in the final for the title of the first European innovative city.
Trondheim now receives € 50 to be used for innovation and creativity.

Trondheim won bronze and 50 euros for innovation
The award recognizes the city that best promotes creativity in local communities and places particular emphasis on innovation that contributes to the creation of open and dynamic ecosystems, engages citizens and uses innovation to promote sustainable development. Vantaa in Finland took first place and Cascais in Portugal came second.
Cities had to show that they could experiment with innovative concepts, processes, tools and management models.

The financial award will be allocated to work on new innovative projects.
