Makaveli Linden is suspected of murder Haikki Paltto in Majorstua. After committing this act, he was able to escape to Sweden, where he got there by train leaving from Oslo at 16:56 towards Stockholm. These assumptions were presented by Inspector Grete Lien Metlid, who led the case, in an interview with TV 2, which he confirmed in an interview with NRK.

NRK journalists also reached out to Linden's friends. Everyone agrees that the 20-year-old is a Christian and that there were no problems with him at the school he attended.
