Today, at noon, the funeral of the president of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, will take place. The mass will take place in St. Mary's Basilica and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Gdańsk. Sławoj Leszek Głódź. The basilica opened at 10:00. Unfortunately, it will not accommodate all those who want to say goodbye to Paweł Adamowicz, which is why large screens have been placed in several places in Gdańsk. The funeral will be attended by the relatives of the deceased's family, President Andrzej Duda with a government delegation, but also thousands of residents of Gdańsk and all Poles.

At 12:00, when the funeral mass of Paweł Adamowicz begins, the sound of an alarm siren will sound throughout Poland for about a minute. Other cities, such as, for example, Warsaw, Wrocław or Poznań, also set up screens in various parts of the city, so that people who also want to say goodbye to the president of Gdańsk, but do not live in Gdańsk, can do it.
National mourning
The national mourning after the death of Paweł Adamowicz lasts from yesterday at 17:00 p.m. and will last until today until 19:00 p.m. For obvious reasons, all special events, concerts, etc. have been canceled and moved to another day. Condolence books were laid out all over the country.

A beautiful gesture
The closest family of the murdered president of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, asked all those who would come to the funeral mass not to bring flowers and candles with them.
