Everyone has heard of yoga, knows more or less what it looks like, but very few people practice it. We often believe that this sport is not for us and that we probably cannot afford it. However, if we want to master our body, apply self-discipline and make internal consistency, yoga is the perfect solution for this.

What is Yoga?

Contemporary "instant" times mean that people do not have time to calm down, slow down and relax. Many people want it but don't know how to achieve it. We resort to various things, such as reading books. Yoga as an ancient system has been helping people find this needed balance in life for years. It wasn't known, popular or practiced for a long time. However, this has changed recently. Yoga connects, unites and leads to unity. The mistake is that yoga is a religion or something "mystical" and is intended only for a select few. It is for everyone and its practice can help each of us.

Positive effect on the body and physical condition

Yoga is a workout that strengthens and lengthens the muscles. Our body flexibility improves and physical endurance increases. The silhouette we care so much about improves its current appearance. The most important thing, however, is that yoga training develops the body evenly, forcing all of our muscles to work together.

Sedentary and yoga

We often spend a lot of time at the desk. We complain of back pain and more. The exercises that we do from time to time do not bring much results, and the pain gets worse over time. Yoga is an ideal solution because it has a positive effect on the muscles of the spine. Why? It increases their strength, but so does the tendons. It makes our muscles stretched and flexible. Practicing yoga improves the blood supply to the spine and the entire back, but also strengthens the nervous system, which is a great benefit because we avoid nervous inflammations.

Types of yoga

Yoga has many different types of training that should be properly selected for us. This is important in terms of our expectations that we place in training. If, for example, we are supporters of working with the body and breathing of moderate or mild intensity, we should choose HATHA classes. Dynamic classes, power yoga is VINYASA. ASHTANGA is also a power yoga class, but it is strictly preferred for people who are fit and who love decent physical effort. MYSORE is yoga for advanced learners, because the participant should have mastered the entire ASANI sequence, then he can perform the exercises on his own (MYSORE). These are just a few types of yoga, but if someone wants to start an adventure with it, the best choice at the very beginning will be HATHA classes.

What is the most important?

If we decide to start an adventure with yoga, it would be good, but the type of yoga was properly selected for us. Incorrectly chosen classes can quickly demotivate us for further practice. It is also important to find in these classes what we currently need, we are looking for in our lives.

How many times a week?

As in any sport, we need self-discipline, time and regularity to see the results. Yoga is no different. At the very beginning, one training per week is quite enough to convince yourself of it and to want more and more over time.
