A bun is often called a sweet roll. It's hard to look for a person who has not eaten it at least once. Delicious, sweet, inexpensive, but unfortunately very fattening.

The bun is known to everyone

A bakery product in the form of round yeast bread. Usually stuffed with poppy seeds, cheese, chocolate, jam or many other products. Often frosted. In Poland, it is most often called a kolach, but there are regions such as Pomerania or Greater Poland, where it is called "shnek".

Substitute for a nutritious breakfast

It very often happens that already in childhood, the bun becomes our quick substitute for breakfast. Parents giving us pocket money often comment "buy yourself a bun." It is quite an easy way to save your morning time. Later in our lives, as we grow up, not much really changes. The rush of our life leads to the fact that we struggle with the lack of time to prepare a valuable meal such as breakfast. It also happens that on the way to work or university, we buy one or often more sweet rolls to replace breakfast.

Caloric content of bun

Few people are aware of such a large amount of calories that one bun can provide us. Of course, it should be remembered that the calorie will always depend on the recipe of the bakery where it was baked. The bun doesn't have a label, so it's hard to tell how many calories it actually provides, but it's easy to average. Some examples below

  • bun with cheese 307 kcl
  • bun with pudding 216 kcl
  • bun with apple 200 kcl
  • bun with poppy seeds 325 kcl
  • bun with jam 230 kcl
  • bun with crumble 245 kcl
  • bun with blueberry 251 kcl

Consideration

Sugar is addictive, and there is a lot of it in sweet bread. Bakeries, grocery stores, large supermarkets that sell their own baked goods, pastry shops and many other places are everyday life. Application? Sweet bread is available at every turn. However, you should not be afraid of it if it is eaten carefully and once in a while. It must be remembered that buns provide us with many calories, which are of minimal value to our body. Therefore, if we care about health, we should limit the consumption of large amounts of sweet bread.
