According to NAV.no, the job offer registration system and the candidate search engine will be switched off on October 31st. From that moment on, a new platform will be operational, offering the same functionalities. The Office also provided for several improvements that are to make the system more intuitive and friendly to entrepreneurs.

Another change

Since July this year, entrepreneurs have been able to register job offers and search for candidates for vacant positions via the NAV.no website. According to the office, October 31 will be the last day of operation of the old platform. It will be replaced by a completely new system to which you will be able to log in using your ID, eg BankID, MiniID or BankID for mobile devices. At the same time, after that date, the option to log into the old system will be disabled.

What's changed?

According to NAV.no, the process of registering new job offers will be streamlined. From now on, this activity will be more intuitive. Additionally, as an entrepreneur, you will be able to place links to your social profiles on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In addition, logging in with an ID will be more secure. All thanks to new privacy settings that will allow you to control who to grant access to the recruitment account.

Changes also in the candidate search engine

NAV will also introduce changes to the candidate search engine itself. From October 31, every entrepreneur will have access to the following functionalities:

  • insight into the number of years worked,
  • internship certificates and certificates,
  • which of the candidates lives closest to your company.

Candidate profiles

The profiles of registered candidates will also be introduced. From October 31, they will be able to supplement such information as:

  • what profession do they want to work in,
  • where do they want to work,
  • let them know if they want to work part-time or full-time.

From the entrepreneur's point of view, an important change is also the ability to search for candidates based on their specializations and learned professions. Access to individual profiles will be facilitated - all information will be visible at once.

What is worth knowing?

  • After October 31, you will not be able to log into the old system,
  • the job offers you have added will not be automatically transferred to the new platform, but will be visible on NAV.no. The only possibility of their transfer is manual copying of their content and registration in the new system,
  • you will not be able to access any saved candidate lists in the old system. You will have to create a new one
  • the "Message for the candidate" module will not be available in the early phase of implementation of the new recruitment system. In practice, it means that you will only be able to contact candidates by e-mail or telephone.

The new platform is at an early stage of development. According to NAV.no, work is underway to improve it.
