Walrus is the colloquial name of a man who practices cold baths. It is an activity that in many people arouses admiration and admiration, but also sometimes negative opinions. Why is it worth being a walrus and what do cold baths give us?

Just pleasure

For people who have never had the opportunity to bathe in cold water, apart from the shower or bathtub, winter bathing evokes many emotions, both positive and negative. In fact, such a bath can give us a lot of pleasure, and in the future it can bring many benefits to our body. Contrary to appearances, it is a very healthy hobby.

Maneuvering and the purpose of cold baths

Apart from having fun and creating a harmonious community of walruses and seals, the main purpose of sea-watering is to improve human health. Thanks to cold baths, we are able to keep the body in a very good shape, prepare it for low temperatures, and maintain good fitness of our body. More and more people compare marine treatment to modern cryotherapy. Thanks to a cold bath, our circulation in the internal organs and tissues of the body improves. Additionally, sea water leads to a strong blood supply to the skin, ankles, knees and upper limbs. Our resistance to cold and viruses increases, which means that we are less likely to suffer from various types of diseases.

Anyone can push

Everyone can become a walrus or a seal, because that is the name of a woman who enjoys winter baths. Regardless of our age, we are able to start treating our body with cold baths. Of course, when it comes to children, it is best for a child to start their adventure with sea at the age of 10. It is assumed that then he is more aware of his decision and understands the situation and why he is doing it. It is also obvious that everyone should make such decisions on their own without anyone's coercion.

How to start?

Like any physical activity, this one requires some preparation in the form of a warm-up. As a matter of fact, we do not have to prepare too much for winter baths. It's best to start your adventure in September and gradually prepare your body for cooler water temperatures. It is not recommended that the sea starts during the harsh winter. As for the outfit, we should have shoes, socks, gloves, a bathing suit and a hat.
