According to psychologists, the New Year is treated by people as a symbol of the arrival of a new year. Already at the end of the year, everyone makes plans for the new, upcoming 365 days. Unfortunately, we will not be able to implement most of them.

New Year's resolutions- who does not have them or did not? The first day of the new year is for most of us the symbol of a new and better life. Many of us consider this time a blank page, which we know how to write, because we already have plans! Unfortunately it turns out that New Year's resolutions it's not that easy. According to statistics, only what 20 the person is able to keep all his resolutions. The question is why is this happening?

How to make resolutions?

The biggest mistake of all of us is to date our resolutions and put them in numbers. If you assume that you will lose 10 kg by June 16, and you will not succeed, because your weight will be only 6 kg less, it is very likely that you will not be happy with the effect. You may find that you missed your New Year's Resolution. The essence is not forgetting that the implementation of the resolution does not come easily to us. Let us not only focus on the effect, but on the road. Achieving our goal, even in 90%, is already a small success.

Only what you are able to do!

Another thing is that we often count our possibilities and invent them New Year's resolutionswhich, even at the time of their expression, are subject to great doubts. If we know immediately that something is far from being achieved, then let's not set ourselves such goals. If they are not implemented in the next year's summary, we will not be proud of ourselves, and the previous year will be a failure. 

Write down your resolutions!

This form of implementation of all decisions is probably known by most of us. It is not a coincidence that people who save theirs New Year's resolutions they are more effective in their implementation, according to research conducted at Yale University and Harvard Business School. Only 3% of people write down their goals, which is a shockingly small number. The famous motivational speaker and author of many books Bryan Tracy wrote, "Goals that are not written are just dreams."

The method of small steps

For many people, each year's New Year's resolutions lose their sense and value. No wonder that, according to research, all decisions we assume last on average for ATTENTION ... a week! However, it is worth remembering that everything makes sense if it gives us happiness and a sense of fulfillment, and what can be more happy than a realized decision? Before that happens, however, we must implement the method of small steps, because, as the saying goes, "Krakow was not built in a day".
